There will be no homework for the first 3 weeks of April due to CMAS testing.
CMAS is the second and third week of April. We will be testing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It is really important your kid is well rested, feeling good, and at school on time. Social Emotional Learning This week we will review the problem-solving steps.
Literacy: We are finishing our Viking Quest, and students will make a Google Slides presentation to share their learning. Also, we will start talking about the parts of narrative plot (introduction, rising action, climax, falling action, and solution/ conclusion). We will start our next unit about light and sound after Spring Break.
Math: This week we will begin our geometry unit. We will talk about the different attributes of shapes and practice creating shapes out of other shapes. Talk about the names of shapes and quadrilaterals that you see as you move around Denver. Talk about the types of angles you see. Here is some of our vocab: Quadrilateral, Square, Trapezoid, Rhombus, Rectangle, Parallelogram, Hexagon, Pentagon, Octagon , Lines of Symmetry, Acute Angle, Obtuse Angle, Right Angle
